Black schoolboys have been let down by the education authorities for almost 50 years and are struggling to overcome racism from many of their own teachers, according to a new report released today.

The London Development Agency's education commission says that schools' failure to successfully engage with students of African-Caribbean origin has severely hindered them and contributed to massive under-achievement.
