The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)
- Has over 100,000 members working at all levels and in all sectors of the economy. Through the AAT’s qualifications and membership they develop relevant and practical accounting and finance skills throughout their working life.
- Is the UK’s largest awarding body of vocational accounting qualifications, awarding over 80% of NVQ certificates in accounting.
- Is highly respected within the accountancy profession and sponsored by four of the UK’s leading chartered accountancy bodies, CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA and ICAS. The AAT’s Accounting Qualification (NVQ/SVQ level 4) provides a well-established progression route to all the UK’s senior accountancy qualifications.
- Works with organisations in both the private and public sector to promote and recognise best practice in training and development. The AAT has over 100 Corporate Training Partners, including the National Audit Office, Ministry of Defence and Rolls Royce.
- Regulates its ‘Members in Practice’ to provide accountancy and taxation services on a self-employed basis to SMEs and the public.
