Figures published by the Higher Education Funding Council for England show that nearly 95 per cent of graduates are employed or in further study within six months of graduating.

The statistics have been criticised by researchers at Warwick University as a "lucky dip".

The figures also show a racial bias facing Asian and black graduates.
