Worries over A-Level class sizes

A survey of sixth form study by the Secondary Heads' Association has found that nearly 80 per cent of state secondary schools had increased class sizes, compared with half of independent schools.

"This is a direct result of the failure of government and local education authorities to fund the post-16 reforms to schools," said the general secretary of the association John Dunford.
