Press ReleasesThe PFRA manages, promotes and advances 'public fundraising by personal solicitation', one of the most exciting and effective forms of fundraising. The PFRA has an accreditation scheme, produces Codes of Conduct, and is working with the Home Office in responding to the Strategy Unit's recent report on the voluntary sector and regulatory practices. 600000 people signed up to make a regular donation to charity in 2003 on the street and door to door. This translates to an estimated income of £210 million over the next 5 years. The PFRA has currently 129 members of which 110 are charities and 19 are professional fundraising organisations. The Association seeks to work with local authorities and voluntary sector organisations, including helping organise the allocation of sites for public fundraising.
