David Blunkett turned his fire on racism within the police yesterday.

After initially criticising the BBC over its programme "The Secret Policeman", the home secretary said the report painted a picture of "horrendous" racism amongst some police recruits.

Five officers have resigned following Tuesday's under-cover documentary.
