Tories call for lottery revamp
Under a Conservative government, lottery players would be allowed to choose which charity benefits from the pound they pay for their ticket, Iain Duncan Smith announced yesterday.
"Conservatives are determined to sweep away the obstacles that frustrate or politicise the vital work of charities and community-building organisations," the Tory leader said.
"Our proposed reforms would greatly increase the accountability of the charitable sector to local communities."
