To see the myth of Labour fatalism finally put to the sword, one only had to look at the queues stretching from the entrance to the conference hall fully two hours before the PM was due to begin his speech.

Suspense filled activists nervously awaited their leader, dry-mouthed as they sat bathed...


Today saw queues round the block to enter the conference centre as delegates and activists filed into the conference secure zone, whilst being 'entertained' by the rantings of the ubiquitous free speech campaigner, now minus his soap box which was poached during a surprise raid yesterday.
