Freight Transport Association
Welcome to the FTA micro-site at ePolitix
The Freight Transport Association is one of the largest trade associations in the UK. We have offices in Tunbridge Wells, Leeds, Leamington Spa, Stirling and Belfast. We are also the only major UK transport trade association with a permanently staffed base in Brussels.
We represent the views and interests of thousands of companies across every region of the UK and in every stage of the supply chain - from international courier companies to small family haulage firms. The likelihood is that every day you will eat, drink or wear something that has been moved by an FTA member. We represent every region of the country, and every type of freight transport from lorries to trains, planes and ships.
FTA is proud to represent our members, to highlight the vital work they do underpinning the economy, to help them develop and share best practice, and to ensure through our public communications that their voice is heard. We are also a completely member-driven organisations, taking regular soundings from our membership to ensure that we are in touch with their priorities.
We are much more than just a lobbying service, providing members with the vital services that they need to run their businesses effectively. We provide digital tachograph services, so members can keep an eye on their drivers' hours, provide vehicle inspection services and regular compliance guides to help members cope with each new piece of legislation that will affect their business.
FTA invites you to engage with us on any issues affecting the logistics sector. For more information, please contact Michael Webb, Public Affairs Manager on 01892 552297 or email mwebb@fta.co.uk
