Home affairs committee probes officials on prison raid
The Home Affairs Committee met on Wednesday to investigate the controversial search carried out at Kent's Blantyre House prison in May this year. They took evidence from Sir David Ramsbotham, HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, the Prison Governors Association, Paul Boateng MP, prisons minister and Martin Narey, Director General of the Prison Service. The hearing followed a visit by the committee to the jail on Tuesday.
