Welcome to The Royal British Legion

The Royal British Legion safeguards the welfare, interests and memory of those who have served, or are currently serving, in the Armed Forces, and their dependants.  It provides financial, social and emotional support to millions.  Its benevolence spans all age groups: from the oldest to the very young.  Nearly 10.5 million people are eligible for our help, and the call on our welfare services is increasing.

We are also one of the country's largest membership organisations, with over 400,000 members nationwide, and a further 11,000 overseas.  Scotland has its own Legion.  Our clubs and branches all over the country are a focal point for our members to get together, providing a friendship network, as well as a chance to get involved in our many fundraising and welfare activities.  We welcome men and women of all ages, whether or not they have served in the Armed Forces.
