- Commercial property constitutes 35% of the productive assets of the economy.
- In 2003, net investment in productive property was £46bn - 30% of the UK investment.
- Commercial property accounts for 6% of UK GDP - 6 times the size of agriculture, more than twice the size of the oil industry and larger than the banking, transport and communications sector.
