Half a million return to state pension system
About 500,000 people have moved back into the state pension system in a year, figures from the Department of Work and Pensions have revealed.
Stephen Yeo, an actuary with pension specialist Watson Wyatt, says the move "is the biggest shift back into the state system ever."
