Welcome
Members of the Association of Consulting Actuaries (ACA) are all professionally qualified actuaries working in the consulting sector who advise individuals and corporate clients on a wide range of issues. All actuarial advice given by Members is subject to the Actuarial profession's code of conduct.
The major part of members' work is as advisers to UK pension schemes with assets exceeding £750 billion. The vast majority of the largest schemes are advised by ACA members and they, amongst thousands of other companies and organisations, take advantage of the varied range of services offered by ACA members.
The consulting sector of the actuarial profession has experienced rapid growth in recent years, reflecting a wider recognition of the skills and expertise available. The Association is now the largest national grouping of consulting actuaries in Europe with over 1700 Members drawn from over 80 firms of all sizes.
The ACA is active in encouraging a wider understanding of the areas where its Members are active and, in respect of occupational pensions, it provides the administrative and technical secretariat to the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Occupational Pensions.
