Brown's science plan under fire
Gordon Brown's 10 year science strategy will be undermined by new layers of bureaucracy imposed on research, says the head of Britain’s biggest biomedical charity.
Mark Walport, the director of the Wellcome Trust, said that laws which criminalise life-saving research will jeopardise the chancellor’s goal of making Britain the world’s most attractive base for science.
