Unions face tough employment bill
The new employment relations bill, set to be unveiled later this month, is likely to disappoint trade unions, according to the FT.
Workers' rights groups are set to suffer from the after effects of the postal and fire strikes, the paper claims.
Few concessions will be offered from ministers but measures in the bill could include the abolition of the eight-week threshold after which striking workers who are sacked cannot sue for unfair dismissal.
