Boost for organic over GM

At the end of a good week for opponents of genetically modified food, the FT reports on a further boost for the organic farming industry.

Government advisers on the Agriculture and Environment Biotechnology Commission are said to be ready to recommend a 0.1 per cent cap on the amount of GM material to be allowed in non-GM food.

The biotech industry has been lobbying for a 0.9 per cent limit.
