A survey of the UK's leading technology companies by business advisers Grant Thornton finds increasing fears over the UK's anti-science culture.

Only one in seven of the companies surveyed sees Britain as a centre for growth.

The move comes as the Royal Society criticises the government for ignoring recommendations to closely monitor the long term impact of GM crops.
