Hewitt's mixed news on minimum wage

The trade and industry secretary has indicated she will not extend the minimum wage to 16 and 17-year-olds.

But Patricia Hewitt announced yesterday that the minimum wage for workers aged over 21 will rise by 30 pence to £4.50 in October.
