British Energy shares tumble
The market value of nuclear power generator British Energy fell to £31 million as its share price tumbled further yesterday.
The troubled company that was once valued at around £2 billion is now worth just £1 million more than Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand.
A Labour-affiliated environmental campaign group, supported by five cabinet ministers, yesterday called for the company to be placed into administration.
