Cook and Forth battle over pensions

Robin Cook and Eric Forth battled over pensions and the falling value of the stock market in the Commons yesterday.

With Tony Blair at the G8 summit in Canada, Cook, the Commons leader, stood in and defended the government's record on retirement funds.

Labour have since been accused of hypocrisy by the Tories, after Cook attacked Iain Duncan Smith for sending his children to private school.

The Mail errupts in fury over Cook's comments - claiming Blair has always objected to attention focusing on his family.
