'Ethical' employers can discriminate
Lesbian and gay campaigners have warned that an EU equality directive may actually promote discrimination.
A "loophole" in the legislation will allow churches, religious schools and charities the power to sack staff whose lifestyles are at odds with the "ethos" of the organisation, opening up the potential for discrimination against those who disagree with the outlook of their employers.
