Claims of child abuse and bullying made by pupils in boarding schools are to be published in annual welfare reports from next week.

Over 70,000 pupils, including those at the country's top public schools, will be asked to fill out a confidential questionnaire detailing their views of teachers, punishment, prefects, bullies, privacy and canteen food. Abuse claims will be published but accused staff will only be named if convicted in court under new rules introduced by England's first director of children's' rights, Roger Morgan.
