The wife of Conservative MP Robert Walter, a solicitor Barbara Gorna, is the architect of his Sex Discrimination Amendment Bill which is set to end men-only privileges and voting rights in clubland.

Gorna drafted the legislation after being refused a glass of mineral water in a golf club bar.
