Breakthrough in frozen ovary banks

Scientists have for the first time succeeded in transplanting entire frozen ovaries, meaning that young professional women could have one of their ovaries banked for 20 years in order to prolong their fertility beyond the menopause.

The successful experiment could also reverse the menopause of women who suffer sterility following cancer treatment.
