One in four say never to euro

Only 27 per cent of voters would never vote to join the European single currency, according to the latest NOP poll.

But the poll also found that pro-euro campaigners still have a hill to climb, with 60 per cent set to vote "No" if a referendum on the euro were held today.

The Mirror reports that Tony Blair wants Britain to join the single currency by 2003.
