Home Office considers ID cards for teenagers

The Government is considering a scheme to issue teenagers with identity cards as part of a wider strategy to crack down on under-age drinking and smoking. The Home Office wants the ID card to be an expanded version of the DfEE's Connexion's card, which offers discounts in shops for teenagers who stay on at school.
