Parliamentary reception: Paralysis - stepping up to the challenge

Monday 28 June, Inter-Parliamentary Union, Westminster Hall, Houses of Parliament

DODS, The House Magazine and ePolitix.com hosted an afternoon reception in partnership with Spinal Research. The reception served as an important opportunity to discuss the development of treatments for spinal cord injury.

The event was designed to help attendees:
    • appreciate the breath and scope of revolutionary treatments being developed by UK medical researchers
    • identify the translational resources needed to ensure Britain capitalises on world-class research into treatments that are safe to use on humans
    • Explore the benefits of medical research, including strengthening the economy, improving people's lives and keeping Britain ahead in scientific endeavour and innovation.

Please view a Spinal Research press release on the reception.

You can also view an ePolitix.com interview with Spinal Research chief executive Jonathan Miall and an ePolitix.com report of the reception.
