    Skills Dialogue

The DODS Skills Dialogue, supported by DIUS, BERR and DCFS and sponsored by 157 Group, the Alliance of Sector Skills Councils, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Northwest Regional Development Agency, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Siemens, is designed to drive discussion on a number of key themes within the skills debate. The Dialogue will involve a series of interlocking tasks including: roundtable debates, a skills summit, online consultations, a supplement to report on key findings and fringe events at all three major party conferences this autumn.

The Skills Dialogue will initially focus on key themes which will be tackled at two roundtable debates, to be held in Westminster in June 2009. The themes have been carefully chosen by the working group, made up of representatives of all our supporters and sponsors, to gain a deeper understanding and present key findings on specific issues that require further investigation.
