Play England
Welcome to Play England's dedicated policy and campaigns website. Here you will find information and briefings on a number of current key issues and campaigns on our work and research with children and young people and play providers in England.
About Play England
Play England aims for all children and young people in England to have regular opportunities for free, inclusive, local play. Play England provides advice and support to promote good practice, and works to ensure that the importance of play is recognised by policy makers, planners and the public. The project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and is an integral part of their Children's Play initiative.
What we do
Play England works with local authorities and the play sector across England to promote local play strategies and build partnerships for play. We promote standards, equality and diversity in play provision. We research and demonstrate the benefits of play, to raise awareness - at all levels - of the need to provide high quality play opportunities for all children and young people.
