Strengthened Constitutional Role for the Law Commission

The Lord Chancellor has announced his intention to strengthen the role of the Law Commission. Law Commission Chairman Sir Terence Etherton responds.
The Law Commission is the statutory independent body created by the Law Commissions Act 1965 to keep the law under review and to recommend reform where it is needed.
We actively encourage responses to our consultations and reports.
