    New programme of law reform

    We are consulting on the new law reform projects that we will include in our 11th Programme, which is due to begin in summer 2011. You have until 15/10/10 to send us your proposals.

    Recruitment campaign begins
    12 April 2010
    We have launched a recruitment campaign for a Consumer Lawyer for 6 months to 1 year to cover maternity leave. Closing date for applications: 03/05/10. Interviews: week of 17/05/10. [PLEASE NOTE - This competition is now closed.]

    Bribery Act 2010
    09 April 2010
    We welcome the news that the Bribery Bill received Royal Assent on 08/04/10. The Bribery Act 2010 derives from our Report on Reforming Bribery, published in 2008.

    The Law Commission is the statutory independent body created by the Law Commissions Act 1965 to keep the law under review and to recommend reform where it is needed.

    We actively encourage responses to our consultations and reports.
