Education Membership Scheme

The Institute of Hospitality Education Membership Scheme is open to all educational establishments offering programmes of Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism. This scheme offers membership access to students as potential industry managers and supports the work of educational establishments whilst further developing links with the industry.

The scheme is primarily designed to offer Affiliate (Student) Membership to students enrolled on relevant programmes of study, free of charge. As future industry managers, the Institute of Hospitality wishes to encourage students to become involved in the life and work of the Association as soon as they undertake relevant studies.

The benefits of membership

The Institute of Hospitality Education Membership Scheme is open to all educational establishments offering programmes of Hospitality, Leisure and Tourism Studies. The Scheme is not intended to replace individual membership and students should be encouraged to join as individual Affiliate members wherever possible as this will confer benefits not accessible through this scheme. However, the Institute of Hospitality wishes to extend membership access to students as potential industry managers and to support the work of educational establishments and further develop links. The scheme offers the following incentives.

For students:

Free Affiliate Membership which includes:

• Online registration with the Institute of Hospitality
• Individual password access for departmental students to the Institute of Hospitality Library and Information Services
• Support for students wishing to form Institute of Hospitality Student Groups
