APPG for Eye Health
All-Party Parliamentary Group on Eye Health
The All Party Parliamentary Group on Eye Health and Visual Impairment has been on the approved list of all party subject groups for four years. The Group, which held its inaugural meeting in January 2002, is now chaired by Liberal Democrat MP Sandra Gidley and enjoys support from almost 60 members drawn from a wide cross section of MPs and Peers of all the main political parties, as well as extensive support from stakeholders in the eye health and visual impairment sectors.

Terms of reference
To inform and educate parliamentarians about the importance of high quality eye care for the prevention of eye disease and blindness and for the eye health of the nation; and to promote better understanding of visual impairment and greater social inclusion.
