Corrugated Industry Parliamentary Reception - MEMBERS EVENT
Date: 18th November 2008
Location: Palace of Westminster – Dining Room A
The Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) and the Sheet Plant Association (SPA) have organised a Parliamentary Reception on behalf of the UK Corrugated Packaging Industry.
Jo Swinson MP is kindly hosting the event which will take place from 12.30 – 3.30 pm.
This welcomed reception will offer an opportunity for MPs to meet with representatives from the industry, some of whom will be substantial constituency employers, and raise important issues which are affecting the corrugated industry. Local MPs will also be updated with key facts on why the UK Corrugated Industry believes to have an unsurpassed environmental record, and are significant contributors to the UK economy.
Packaging in the UK sometimes receives bad press, despite the fact that good packing saves food waste and minimises the carbon footprint of our society. Corrugated packaging is clean and green, with an 84% recycling rate. It protects its contents, is versatile in design and has an environmental record second to none.
