Voice welcomes Out and About Package and Quality Badge Scheme

Voice: the union for education professionals has welcomed the Out and About Package and Quality Badge Scheme announced by the DCSF today (2 October 2008).
General Secretary Philip Parkin said: "As a signatory to the Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto, Voice welcomes this announcement. Safely conducted and properly supervised, school visits are an important part of learning. Children and staff benefit enormously from these trips.
"I am sure that the package and scheme will give teachers and support staff the confidence to take part in school visits without anxiety, and a wealth of invaluable information and resources to help them to organise trips and to support teaching and learning."
