Response to BMJ

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health fully supports the published research of Roy Meadow and David Southall. This work forms a significant part of the evidence base for our recommendations and practice. The papers they have published are included in the reviews quoted in the Child Protection Companion as this was thought to be the best way for general paediatricians to access the information. The Companion is a handbook, which was produced in order to help general paediatricians n their work in safeguarding children. We will be providing a fuller response to the BMJ.
