PFS APPOINTS NEW CEO
25 May 2006
The Personal Finance Society is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Tim Eadon as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 5 June 2006.
Tim was previously Head of Sesame Solutions, leading the complex advice division at Sesame, the UK’s largest IFA network. There he was responsible for business development and transformation of the network’s financial advice channel into a profitable and market leading business proposition.
From 2001-2003, Tim was a Divisional Manager at Norwich Union Life, formerly CGU and Commercial Union, working at senior level with a range of building society partners, managing all aspects of sales and marketing. Prior to that appointment he was Corporate Regional Sales Manager (2000-1) and Corporate Pensions Consultant (1997-2000) and tied Personal Financial Adviser (1995-97).
Tim has supported his financial services career achieving AFPC in 1998 and an MBA in 2004.
His previous career included running his own company (Rugby Fasteners Ltd) and managing a number of leisure facilities around the UK.
Commenting on the appointment, CII Deputy Director General, Bob Bullivant said:
“The PFS needs strong leadership to carry it forward from initial establishment to the position of a professional body whose members are a majority of financial advisers in the UK. Tim, with his experience of the IFA sector, of corporate sales and marketing and in a wider business sense, is ideally placed to take the PFS from its current position as the largest professional body in the UK for financial advisers to being automatic membership choice for all advisers”.
