"Opt-out" system for Gift Aid

"The British Red Cross supports an "opt-out" system for Gift Aid, which could be worth an additional £3-£5m per year. We would also support full recovery direct to charities from higher rate taxpayers.

These changes could make a radical difference to income generation for the whole sector, and in turn help us deliver key services to those that rely on them. We have been, and will continue to, work with the Institute of Fundraising on the practicalities of these changes."
