NFB APPOINTMENT BOOSTS MEMBERSHIP SERVICES

15 February 2007

The National Federation of Builders (NFB) has boosted its membership services team with the appointment of Carly Davis as Business Development Manager.

Carly will be responsible for managing the Federation’s Membership Services, which incorporates the seven advice lines and the management of National Associate relationships.

NFB’s advice lines currently provide free support on tax, employment law, training, environmental, technical and health & safety issues. NFB also has a selection of associated organisations signed up to provide discounts and benefits on a range of products and services. These include a UK panel of insurance brokers and a UK Panel of Solicitors who provide Construction and Employment services

Carly Davis said: “Our advice lines receive thousands of calls each year and form an important and well used part of the NFB membership mix. It will be my role to ensure that high standards of delivery are maintained across our advice lines and national associate services, while ensuring our offer and range of support services is 100% relevant to our members.”

Nationally, the NFB represents some 2,000 builders and contractors across England and Wales, with around 60 per cent generating a turnover of less than £1million.

The Federation has a network of seven regional offices and in addition to providing specialist legal, insurance and taxation support, it lobbies local, national and European government on a range of issues to sustain positive trading conditions for members.
