Health Professions Council meeting summary

Draft equality and diversity scheme
The Council approved a draft policy related to equality and diversity issues.
Safeguarding vulnerable groups
The Council agreed its response to the consultation on implementing the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act, which sets out a new system for checking people who work with children and vulnerable adults.
Corporate social responsibility
The Council approved a policy on how the HPC will affect stakeholders, the community and the environment.
Practise committee forum
The Council approved a constitution for the forum of the practise committees. The forum will meet twice a year to discuss fitness to practise issues which affect all three committees.
