Press Release
EOA Newsletter – July 2008
This is our last newsletter before the summer break so the EOA team would like to wish you well for the summer.
2008 EOA National Conferences:
We are still processing all the feedback forms. Clearly, despite the hotel problems we faced at the southern venue the conferences went well – full members will be able to look at the forum comments. We will be posting a full report, with photos, on our website soon.
Now we need to book location/s for next year and we would like to confirm date(s) as soon as possible so all members and key stakeholders can put the date in their diary. Please let us have your views by completing and returning the attached questionnaire as soon as possible.
Lobby Issues:
The EOA continues to lobby unions, local authorities and government departments to support the professional development and representation of the whole exams office community, especially with reference to the issues related to job role and remuneration.
Professional Development:
The EOA continues to promote its professional development programme and is launching new-look versions of its BTEC suite during the autumn term. We would like to apologise for the delay in setting up all the links within our online service and our new website. All should be resolved shortly.
NAA Training Workshops for Facilitators:
The NAA are running training workshops for facilitators in September – full details are attached.
Summer Office Cover:
Various members of the team will be out of the office over the holiday period. Our new summer office support will be Pat Page who will answer the phone and general queries whilst she helps us prepare for next year.
We hope you all have a good summer break and we look forward to supporting you next year.
Best wishes from the EOA Team
