28 November 2006
English Partnerships has launched an e-magazine to bring together expertise from a range of professionals across the property, architecture and regeneration industries. The e-magazine is designed to be an easy to use, accessible tool for everyone working in the Millennium Communities network enabling sharing of ideas and best practice.
The e-magazine can be downloaded from http://mcnetwork.englishpartnerships.co.uk/ and includes:
Around the communities - an update on all seven developments
The Ripple Effect - the impact on construction methods, residents’ lifestyles and energy costs
What’s On - key milestones and events for 2006-2007
Jayne Lomas, Head of Millennium Communities at English Partnerships comments, "The e-magazine is the perfect forum for sharing news on how these exciting new homes are influencing the house building industry - making changes that are essential if we are to address the urgent issues of climate change and global warming."
The Millennium Communities Programme is a major commitment by the Department for Communities and Local Government and English Partnerships, facilitating the development of high quality, sustainable communities on seven key brownfield sites around the country. In addition to setting a benchmark for exceptionally high environmental performance, the programme has also raised urban design aspirations, set high quality construction standards, and started to give credentials to new methods of building and supply chain.
