EMF and Health - a Global Issue

Voice General Secretary Philip Parkin will attend EMF and Health - a Global Issue: exploring appropriate precautionary approaches on 8 and 9 September 2008 at the Royal Society, London: http://www.radiationresearch.org/conference.
The conference will explore the "rapid growth rate of mobile phones, phone masts and wireless communication systems, alongside various reports of possible adverse effects on health". The "UK Radiation Research Trust (RRT) are leading supporters of a reasoned precautionary approach to human exposure to Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR)."
Philip Parkin and Voice: the union for education professionals (previously Professional Association of Teachers (PAT)) have raised concerns about the possible health effects of wireless computer networks (wi-fi) and highlighted the issue of electro-sensitivity: www.voicetheunion.org.uk/wifi .
