Press Release
‘Early bird’ deadline approaching for Primary Languages Show
4 January 2008
Anybody wishing to benefit from an early booking reduction for the CILT Primary Languages Show 2008 should register by 11 January. The discount sees the daily delegate rate reduced to £155 or £280 for both days.
The annual CILT show takes place on Friday 29 February and Saturday 1 March at the Manchester Conference Centre, and offers a full and varied programme to support languages in the primary school.
The conference provides advice for those offering languages for the first time as well as those wishing to build on existing foundations, and will be invaluable for anyone involved in or interested in the teaching of languages at primary level.
Delegates will have the opportunity to choose from a diverse programme of over 60 sessions, including workshops on creativity, cutting-edge ICT, cross-curricular links, the inspection process in schools, and language taster sessions.
Speakers are drawn from across the world of primary language teaching and include Lid King, the National Director for Languages. New for 2008, ‘Strategic Development Discussions’ will offer delegates the chance to explore and discuss key issues such as transition, mixed-aged planning and supporting non-specialists.
Alongside the conference, an extensive exhibition will provide information on the latest resources for young learners, their parents and teachers, providing opportunities to browse and purchase from a wide range of teaching materials from a variety of suppliers and publishers
To book a place on the conference for either one or both days, register online at www.cilt.org.uk/pls.
