Boris Johnson Transport Manifesto - LONDON FIRST RESPONSE
03 March 2008
Responding to the launch of Boris Johnson’s transport manifesto, unveiled today, a spokesman from business organisation London First, said:
“Detail aside, it is refreshing that Boris has picked up on one key point seemingly missed by other candidates – the best way to lower CO2 emissions is to tackle congestion. Cars, vans, trucks and lorries crawling through London’s streets cause unnecessary air pollution and climate-damaging CO2. A Mayor who would concentrate on unblocking London’s streets would be good for all Londoners, business and the environment.”
