About the constituency

I represent South Staffordshire, one of 12 constituencies in the county of Staffordshire, shown on the map below.

For a detailed map of South Staffordshire itself, click here.

To find out more about the local areas within the constituency, see for example the Codsall Community Website or the Kinver Home Page.

Anyone wishing to visit South Staffordshire may contact either the Tourist Information Office in Kinver, c/o Just Petals, 33 High Street, Kinver, Staffs, WV8 1PX (+44 (0)1384 877756) or the South Staffordshire Tourist Association (ssta@ssta.co.uk or www.ssta.co.uk).

Important issues

Common questions about non-party-political issues of current interest will be answered here.

Should Clause 28 be retained?

My experience as a school master taught me that there were, sadly, men who would prey upon the young and vulnerable and so I strongly support the retention of Clause 28.

Should country sports be banned?

I am a strong supporter of all legitimate country sports. There is no logic in banning hunting without banning shooting and fishing. To ban all or any would have a devastating effect upon the countryside and upon our rural economy. I strongly agree with leading naturalists, such as David Bellamy and Staffordshire's Phil Drabble, that country sports should not be banned.

Do you condone abortion?

To abort is to take a life and I do not, and could not, ever support abortion on demand.

Information for constituents

Constituents are the residents of the South Staffordshire constituency, who elected me to office. I regret I can only address concerns of my own constituents. If you are not sure who your Member of Parliament is, see the Constituency Locata Service.
