    Peter Bottomley

    Conservative Party | Worthing West

The Worthing West constituency includes the Arun district wards of Rustington, East Preston with Kingston and Ferring. In Worthing it includes Goring-by-Sea, Durrington and Northbrook, Salvington, Tarring, Castle, Heene, Marine and Central as far as the hospital.

Worthing in West Sussex is a residential seaside resort with a high proportion of elderly residents in the country. It enjoys 81 per cent owner-occupancy rate, normally low unemployment and high numbers of non-manual workers. Tourism is important, with visitors attracted to the sea and the countryside - Worthing is situated at the foot of the Sussex Downs. The home of the English Bowls Association is in Worthing. Council literature states Worthing is "noted for its mildness". That could refer as much to the nature of those who live in and near Worthing.
