Community Transport Fuel Duty Rebate
Patrick McLoughlin believes that community transport operated mainly by volunteers for the elderly and disabled should be eligible for the same rebate on fuel duty as bus companies operating for a profit. In 1999 he introduced a Private Members Bill, which was rejected by the Government. However, it is now official Conservative Party policy.
