24th March 2004: Local Post Office campaigner Scott Colvin (left) presenting Crispin Blunt, MP (right) with a petition before the Parliamentary debate on the Post Office at the House of Commons on 24th March 2004. The petition said: We call upon the Labour Government to stop the post office closures in Redhill and Reigate, because post offices provide vital services for our local communities.

13 November 2003: Crispin Blunt received the prize as "Survivor of the Year" at the 20th annual Spectator Parliamentarian of the Year awards presented by the Health Secretary Rt Hon Dr John Reid, MP today.

04 July 2003: Westminster colleagues Crispin Blunt and Peter Ainsworth, MP for East Surrey turned into cricketing rivals on Friday 4th July at Tadworth Cricket Club at what has become an annual fixture. Crispin's team secured victory over Peter's East Surrey XI and the teams raised £250.00 for the Children's Trust, Tadworth

20 November 2002: Crispin Blunt getting to grips with energy policy on a visit to a micro combined heat and power boiler (chp) with MicroGen. CHP boilers in homes are due to be marketed in late 2003, after field trials. They replace conventional boilers and provide heating, hot water and electricity, along with monetary and environmental benefits. In layman's terms each house with it's own chp boiler becomes a mini power station generating it's own power. At some point in the future the chp plant in your home may be able to sell excess electricity generated by you to the National Grid.

The Bill received it's First Reading and is due for Second Reading on 10th May 2002.

22 March 2002: Crispin was invited by Cherchefelle Housing Association as guest of honour to celebrate their lottery award of £70,000 from the Community Fund which will help Cherchefelle fund an Outreach Support Worker working with people suffering from mental health problems.

13 December 2001: Crispin Blunt and East Redhill Residents Association member Carol Wigley celebrate with the Surrey Mirror victory for the "Stop the Incinerator" campaign, as plans for a waste incinerator in Redhill were turned down by the Planning Committee of Surrey County Council.
